who?

Who can join?

All queer, trans, and non-binary folks with wombs who are over 18 are welcome. Reproductive healthcare practitioners, including doulas / birthworkers, who want to learn how to support their queer, trans, and non-binary patients and clients to conceive may also join.

Can I join Fertile as a Reproductive healthcare practitioner?

Yes, you may definitely join and I encourage you to! As a reproductive healthcare practitioner, you may participate in the certification process and receive a certificate in the Whole Self Fertility Method™ upon completion of all the assignments. Reproductive healthcare worker includes doulas / birthworkers, midwives, nurses, doctors, naturopaths, acupuncturists, and anyone working in a support role in the reproductive health world.

IVF & IUI

What if I've experienced one or several failed rounds of IVF or IUI, can this program still help me?

Yes. In my private practice, I specialize in supporting folks with wombs who have struggled to get pregnant for many different reasons. All of the information in this program is intended to increase the fertile environment in your body and heal patterns of disharmony that have been preventing you from conceiving, including PCOS, endometriosis, genetic factors, clotting factors, past trauma, thyroid and other hormone imbalances, auto-immune challenges, small polyps, cysts, or growths, and much more.

How far in advance do you recommend starting this program before an IVF or IUI cycle?

It takes 3-4 months or more for an egg to mature in your ovary, which means your fertility today is representative of what you have been doing during the past 3-4 months or longer. The more time you dedicate to improving the fertile environment in your body leading up to the day of egg retrieval (if you are using your own eggs), fresh or frozen embryo transfer, intrauterine insemination, or other methods of conception, the greater your chances of successful conception with a healthy outcome for parent and baby.

Time Commitment

What's the time commitment?

Each of the main modules is dedicated to one of the Five Elements of the Whole Self Fertility Method™. For each element, there is a main instructional video that lasts around one hour, plus several handouts and resource guides. In addition, there are tons of bonus resources, including a one hour in-depth training on how to do acupressure.

If you are a healthcare practitioner or support person and you choose to become certified in the Whole Self Fertility Method™, the certification assignments will take extra time to complete, which varies from person to person.

What happens if I fall behind on the weekly content?

As of Fall 2023, you will now have lifetime access to Fertile for as long as I’m running the program. Once you’re in, you’re in! That means you can take your time and go through all the content at your own pace, without stress of losing access. You can also revisit the content whenever you need, and you’ll be able to view any and all upgrades or additional content in Fertile as well. Perhaps the best part will be lifetime access to our private Qmunity, where you will be able to continue meeting new folks, give and receive support, share challenges and successes, and connect with other folks who are ttc and/or healthcare practitioners.

healing

Is it really that important to address healing my emotions when trying to get pregnant?

In Chinese medicine, each organ system is associated with a particular emotion. For example, Spleen/Stomach are associated with worry, Lungs/Large Intestine are associated with grief and sadness, Kidney/Urinary Bladder are associated with fear, Liver/Gallbladder are associated with anger, and Heart/Small Intestine are associated with anxiety. Whenever there are “stuck” (i.e. unprocessed or not dealt with) emotions in the body, they can eventually manifest physically. Some examples of this physical manifestation are short follicular phase so the egg doesn’t have enough time to mature before it is released, anovulatory cycles (no ovulation), irregular cycles, PMS, short luteal phase, PCOS, endometriosis, and more.

Addressing and processing difficult emotions can restore a smooth, healthy flow of Qi (“chee” means energy) throughout all of the organ systems in the body, since they are all connected, thus leading to more robust health and fertility. I know addressing and processing emotions can be difficult. If you feel at any time during this program that you need extra support in doing so, please reach out to me and I will try to connect you with someone who can help. You don’t need to do this alone, and I encourage you not to.
